Healing rarely happens in isolation.
As people move from trauma toward a healthier life, they often need someone willing to walk beside them. Someone to mentor them, encourage them, and model what a healthy life with God can look like.
At the ranch, we see this happen again and again.
Like a seed pushing through the soil, growth doesn’t happen all at once. It’s slow. It’s intentional. And it’s nurtured through consistent relationships.
Michael is one of those stories.
He connected to the ranch early in 2024. Married, with a young family, Michael was walking through a difficult season. He was working to understand the trauma of his childhood, facing addiction, and navigating complicated family dynamics. At the same time, he was wrestling with deeper questions, who he was in God’s eyes and what calling God had placed on his life.
Michael joined a men’s mentor group led by Doug. What began as a simple connection soon became something more meaningful.
Through time spent together, honest conversations, and Michael’s genuine desire to seek God, a mentorship began to take shape. Over time, that mentorship grew into a lasting friendship, one that continues today.
Now, Michael is moving forward with clarity and purpose. He is wholeheartedly pursuing God’s calling and raising his family with hope, stability, and intention.
Stories like Michael’s don’t happen by accident. They are made possible through the mentoring relationships at the ranch, and through partners like you who make this work possible.
Thank you for walking alongside men like Michael and helping families find a new path forward.
