“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.” (John 15:1 NIV)Our vines are slowly showing signs of new fruit. With that comes tending to them to ensure they grow healthily. So, our participants helped us redirect some of the vines back to the wires/main branches. As we did this, several of them pointed out how God does this often with their lives. He sees them growing, but not necessarily growing in the direction He is leading them to. Just like we did with our vines, He guides them back to where He needs them to be. Even in this early fruit stage of their lives, He carefully tends to remove unnecessary leaves that keep the sun hidden for the grapes to grow, while keeping the right leaves that solely provide shade and protection.
