Are you wondering "What in the world is going on??" Many of our participants think the same thing when we bring up this exercise, but by the end of it they love it! Wonder what this is and why we do it?This is what we call the bridle exercise. For horses, this one of the ways we communicate with them. Depending on how clearly we communicate, the horse will have a response back.When doing this with participants, they each take a turn. One is the horse and one is the "rider". They work to see how effectively they can communicate to the other person in a kind and firm manner. Often this will reveal what a person's go-to communication style is, passive, aggressive, or kind and firm.
